Introduction to Ringland
We are a small rural village located in Norfolk, approximately seven miles NW of Norwich. We are nestled in the Wensum Valley between the A47 and A1067. The River Wensum running through the bottom of the village is a site of special scientific interest (SSSI) with many rare and endangered species of plant and wildlife.
Within the village are several pieces of common land owned by the Parish on which the parishioners have fishing, shooting and grazing rights, as defined by the Parish Council.  We have within the village a Village Hall formerly known as the Reading Room which is where the Parish Council holds its meetings and is also available for hire to other groups and organisations.
We have a village Pub, the Swan Inn,  but the closest shops are in the villages of Taverham and Drayton, 2 miles away
On the outskirts of the village are Ringland Hills, a well known "local beauty spot" consisting of 10.7 hectares of woodland.
